Finishing Treatment for a New WRC Shingle Roof?

I am looking for the name of a product which apparently needs to be applied to a newly finished shingle roof. Does anyone know what this may be?

Ask another builder or a supply house. I assume that it is wood shingles which require nothing if they are cedar, redwood or cyprus.
So, what are you trying to accomplish with this coating-color or preservation?
