-----Need "Gray Zinc" plating for fuel filler neck and brakes of old Chevy
August 26, 2008
Help!
I am restoring an old Chevy. The vacuum reservoir for the power brake system was originally made from what is referred to as (tearne plated) sheet steel; I was told grey zinc would give a comparable appearance. I have not been successful in finding a facility for either tearne and/or grey zinc plating.
The same holds true for the fuel filler neck tube. Any information/recommendations regarding the above two plating processes is welcomed.
Thank you, Bill
