Want to put nickel plated wheels on 1938 Buick

August 22, 2008

Nickel for your thoughts!
I would like to install a nickel plated wheels on my 1938 Buick Special. Chrome would look o.k., I thought nickel would be classy! All chrome to nickel trim to match. What should I start with? Can I remove chrome and have the nickel underneath remain? Can you nickel over a chrome wheel? Let me know what you think.

Regards,

Hi, Albert. Yes, you can strip the chrome off of nickel-chrome plated wheels. Good luck.
