-----Digital camera with battery corrosion
I went to use a digital camera, after it had been sitting, and realized I had left the batteries in it. There is corrosion on the ends (four batteries). Can I clean it, and will the camera work again (providing I don't neglect it again)?

Hi, Audrey. Usually this acid attacks the plating on the contacts, exposing the underlying copper. You can usually get it working, but the copper tarnishes and corrodes much more quickly than the plating did, so it will never be good as new. If you get some "contact cleaner", though, it will include copper preservatives that will help significantly.
