Polished aluminium lifetime for outdoor application

I wonder if the total reflectivity of a polished aluminium mirror, initially measured higher than 95%, will significantly drop through the years in an outdoor application. The mirror is protected by a glass plate but not hermetically. Is there any risk of darkening or bleaching?

Try to find out how they do the reflective surface on car tail lights and etc. They are bright and seem to last a very long time in lousy conditions.
