Is mechanical plating of Mg alloys possible?

I have a problem of surface treatment of Mg-alloy die casting due to its corrosiveness. Do you think that I can use Zn powder to plate on the castings and then followed by electrolytic copper and chromium plating for the bright finish surface ?

Yes mechanical plating of Mg is possible.
