White bleach stains on coloured enamel bath
My lovely old bath has been ruined by white stains. They disfigure the coloured enamel. My builder says that these are bleach stains (I rented out the house for a while). These stains or marks disappear completely when the bath is wet and reappear slowly as the bath dries. I have tried many, Many products in an attempt to remove these, but no luck so far. Can anyone please help?

Hi, Jennifer. If the stains disappear when wet, it's probably not a matter of color so much as surface roughness (the rough surface scatters the light differently than the smooth adjacent surface). Try a clearcoat like
Everbrite [a finishing.com supporting advertiser]. To slightly simplify what they say, if it looks good wet, it will look good with the clearcoat. Let us know if it works.
