-----Copper/aluminum corrosion in hot water
I'm trying to solve a solar system design problem. I would like to use a copper heat exchanger and brass plumbing fittings in an aluminum tank. Will I have corrosion issues if I use plain distilled water or a mixture of distilled water with propylene glycol? The temps could hit 212F on occasion, but won't stay there for very long. Thanks, Kevin Good, Lawrence, KS

Hi, Kevin. You'll have no galvanic corrosion if there is no metallic connection between the heat exchanger and the tank.
