What is the latest EU regulatory limit for dioctyl sebacate?

June 27, 2008

What is the latest requirement of EU regulations for dioctyl sebacate in substrates like electrolytic tinplate or tin- free steel?

I am a laboratory head of Quality Assurance Dept at the largest can manufacturing of the Philippines.

I am much concerned of its limit in cans relevant to its migration into food since we are making cans without protective coatings such as those for diethetic cans or for milk powder cans intended for infants.

Appreciate high your immediate response.

Karen,

I know of no regulations for this substance. Try the following website to see if there is anything happening regulatory-wise:

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
