Removing layers of paint from antique shelf

I purhcased an antique shelf that matched one I received from my grandmother. The shelf was painted bright yellow. My father began removing the paint and I remember him telling me that it must be used in a well ventilated area and the layers would peel off. My father has since passed away and I am trying to finish the job. The remover was an off-white and does peel off easily down to the bare wood if applied thick enough. I have 2 shelves left to remove the paint and I don't know what to purchase to finish the job. Any ideas?

Hi. No telling what your father used for sure, but it may have been Peel Away [affil links]. Good luck with the project.
