Commercial letter stripping chemical

June 12, 2008

I am an owner operator that can no longer afford to lease a box trailer due to the increasing fuel costs and have had to purchase a used trailer, that I am going to have to remove the letters and paint it myself.

So I am trying to find out what chemical to use to strip the letters off the trailer?

thanks
mb

Hi, Shiree. If the trailer is aluminum, try Aircraft Stripper (methylene chloride); it's noxious stuff, you need personal protective equipment and very good ventilation.
