-----Black Chrome (powder coating)
I have been in touch with a shop for a car part that I wanted that they have, but have it done in black chrome. They sent an email back saying they do offer it done in black chrome powder coated. That is how they described it. This is not true black chrome, correct?

Hi, Garry. It doesn't sound real to me. Propose to pay for the job with "gold" coins 🙂

Black chrome powder is generic jargon used in the powder trade -- like "Chrome-look" powder (even at twenty paces it does not compare with true chrome). Shop designers love names not codes so you seek a name that conjures up an image in the mind of the reader. Here are few more - Scratchless Silver, Night Sky, Pewter, Antique Gold & Silver Sparkle.
