Removal of Polyester

We Plate Grocery Carts with Nickel and Hard chrome Plating Our plating with a new location we have had several Plating problems mostly from Chrome we use a Polyester we buy from Morton Industries to Rust Proof the chassis Our New VP of manufacturing told us to replate the parts My recommendation would be to first install a woods stripper that would strip off the Chrome but you still have the Poyester on part. Has anyone ever dealt with this Polyester and how do I strip it off before replating the Parts. Thanks.

Dear Bob:

The polyester coating is on top of the chrome if you can strip the chrome it should take care of the polyester as well. Otherwise you can find manufacturers of paint strippers under Chemicals, Equipment and Services at this web site.
