-----Graining or Grinding to reduce sheet thickness?
I require small amounts of approx. 24 gauge half-hard nickel silver in widths greater than 15". Short of paying for a 5000 lb. mill run, the closest I can get in these widths is .031" material. Is there a graining or grinding process which can be used to reduce the thickness of non-magnetic sheet metal?
The graining machine at a local grinding company doesn't like stock under about .100" thick. However I have seen thin textured sheets of stainless steel which may have been through a device which also reduces their thickness enough to be useful. Ideas? thanks John Morton

My company no longer makes the nickel silvers, however we supply other coils and flat strip. One of our good customers is Atlas Metal Supply in Denver, and sales contact is j simms. I know they supply artists/sculptors with relatively small quantities of copper alloys, but if they can't help they may redirect you to someone who can.
