Silver Plating PCB Tracks

May 20, 2008

Dear Sir
I am an Electronic Hobbyist. Very often I used to design PCBs for my hobby work. After etching the copper tracks of my PCB become oxidised. I wanted to silver plate by PCBs so that I can use them for a longer time. A quick and inexpensive method is requested.
Thanks in Advance.

Hi, Sathish. Commercial wipe-on immersion silvering solution is readily available. See our "FAQ: Silver Plating at Home". I don't think this is a good idea (tin plating would be better), but you can try it.
