-----Black anodized aluminum discoloration at high temperatures
May 2, 2008
We had some black anodized alumnimum parts that we need to expose at 200 °C for 3 days. We need them to remain black.
We have obeserved different grades of discoloration on the parts from parts that do not discolor at all up to light golden yellow.
Is there a solution for it?

Organic dye cannot withstand those high temperatures. You must use special alloy metal and one of the "architechtural" processes from Alcoa, Reynolds, or Kaiser.

Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
