Finishing small metal sculptures

Hello my name is Bill Strickland.

I am interested in making small metal art, such as "nail people", "nut and bolt sculptures"

I have seen this type of art finished with a gloss black or bronze colour.
I would like to know how this is done as the finish is a hard finish not a paint.

Regards,

Hi Bill,
It is paint but not the decorative house paint you are familiar with. It could be 2 pack acrylic automobile paint. Might be powder paint or even electrodeposition paint. Most likely, one of the first two.
