Sludge in phosphating line (difference between of galvanized sheet and normal sheet)

March 4, 2008

Dear sir or madam,

I want to compare sludge and waste in phosphate tank. when we use galvanize sheet and normal sheet in phoshating line before painting in automotive line .

In Some text says:

1- Sludge for normal sheet 5-10 mg/Lit
2- Sludge for galvanized sheet 0.5mg/Lit
3- Sludge for aluminium 10-30 mg/Lit

Could you please guide me this number is routine and usual or not?

Best regards

Can you please put this in context, Nader, because we don't know where you're going. Do you already phosphatize galvanized steel but not plain steel? Or is it vice versa? Or you are just planning to build a line? Or you already phosphatize and your numbers disagree with the literature? Thanks.
