Using tapered bores as a datum

My name is Pat Rohlman. I have a question regarding GD&T and the use of tapers as functional datums. I have a pulley that I am in the process of reviewing and would like to know if anyone has any information about how to specify a tapered bore as a datum - and/or - a good source or example for applying GD&T to a pulley with a tapered bore. Thanks!
