Ramp-up Procedures for Electroforming

We are traditionally an electroless nickel plating shop. However, we are currently exploring applications of electroforming with an electrolytic processes. We are trying to develop a proper current ramp-up procedure for electroforming nickel sulphamate to plastic with a fine silver-based paint coating. Does anyone have any suggestions, as to where I can obtain excellent literature on the topic? Yours truly, Austin

I would suggest experimenting with samples using your silvering technology. The thinner the silver, the lower the starting current and the longer the ramp time.
