Metal finishing in my world...

We are a small company in Memphis. I am new at this kind of work but I was wondering about what different atmospheres do to a nitric acid tank for passivation and the different oils in the air from the machinery?

I don't think the atmosphere will hurt the nitric acid, but any oil from machinery will. Only spotlessly clean parts can be passivated, not slightly oily ones. Good luck.
