Muriatic acid and tile floors

HI,

I AM LIVING IN PANAMA AND NEED TO CLEAN OLD WAX BUILD UP OFF OF TILE FLOORS, EVERYONE HERE SAYS TO USE muriatic acid on eBay or Amazon [affil link] . CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH HOW TO GO ABOUT DOING THIS? I THINK IT IS 1 PART MURATIC ACID TO 4 PARTS WATER. HOW SHOULD I APPLY THE SOLOUTION, REMOVE IT, AND WHAT SHOULD I PUT ON THE FLOORS TO RESEAL THEM? ANY ADVICE IS WELCOME.

THANKS,

BK HOFFPAUIR

Everyone may be wrong. I would never use muriatic acid inside a home as it will corrode everything. I also don't think it's a good solvent for wax anyway.

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
