How are Gold Watches made

How would you make the buckles on a watch. What about the Strap to make sure it stays on your arm. or even the dial, crown to turn the minute hands to the right time, or even the wheel to make the hands move. I would really like to know.

It's always great to see a student who is interested in manufacturing technology, Trina. I hope you decide to become an engineer. If you can find an old watch (ask your parents and aunts & uncles) you can take the back off and take the works out of the case and start getting a feel for how it all pulls together. Machines sort of similar to drills and saws -- called lathes and milling machines -- are used to cut, form, and machine the metal at the factory.
