Hello, Mukteshwar. Clear chromate and blue chromate are not a whole lot different, and many people consider certain finishes to be correctly described with either word. But basically you would simply install a chromate process that is clear enough, i.e., free enough from a cast, to satisfy your customer.

Duraplating is apparently a trademarked proprietary chrome plating process which you can't do without negotiating a license agreement with the holder.
