E-coat for aluminum versus steel

We do aluminum anodizing. customer is asking for e-coat finish on aluminum products. I've seen e-coat for steel parts. What's the difference between e-coat for steel and for aluminum?
Can the same e-coat line do both materials?

Yes, the E-coat remains the same. However, you will have to check if the same pre treatment can be used or it has to be different.

The other thing to remember is that e-coating steel and aluminum doing everything exactly the same, might produce a different color. That can get tricky when wanting an exact match.

Make sure to do a sample first so you have your voltage and times down before you start on your finished piece...
