Can boric acid cause wafer oxidation

I have a Nickel bath and I am not sure if the boric acid causes the oxidation of the wafer
as far as I know boric acid is just to keep the bath pH in spec .
Is there any one that can help me on this issue

You are right about the function of the boric acid, but tt's not clear what you are asking, Ab. What wafer and what oxidation, and what is the rest of the process? Is this oxidation something you are trying to achieve or trying to avoid? Sorry but I'm completely lost.
