Roughness in chrome plating

I am chemist of one of the chrome plating company. We are facing one type of problem, and that is roughness. it comes on the top potion only. why please; give the solution.

That is "shelf roughness" from sludge particles settling on the top of parts. Desludge your tank with a large homemade hoe and then filter it with 25 micron filters until they are reasonably clean and then filter with a 10 micron filter. Do not use cotton. You can get by in most chrome tanks if you drop the temperature and use PP filters. It is best if you change them out every 24 hours as they will break down in many chrome formulations. You might "try" a fiberglass filter IF you do not use a self regulating fluoride catalyst bath.
