Dacrotising or Substitute needed.
2000
Hello,
Would anyone be able to help us in locating a source for Dacrotising Chemicals and also answer these three queries ?
1. Does Zinc-Iron plating prove better than Dacrotising as regards to wear resistance , corrosion resistance, overall performance ?
2. Can Dacrotising be accomplished with simpler machinery such as a Centrifugal Spin Dryer and baking oven, or is installation of a sophisticated Dacrotising plant a must ?
3. Has anyone substituted Dacrotising with any conventional process with good results ?
Your help as always is much appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Hello, Mr. Vahanwala:
Dacrotizing is a trademark owned by Metal Coatings International Inc [Chardon, OH] referring to the application of their Dacromet coatings.
It is not a generic process, so we would like to see discretion used in any feedback. We do not want to see anyone slam a given brand name on the one hand, but we also don't want to encourage on these pages the verbose and flowery praise we often see from a manufacturer or a licensee when his/her brand name is mentioned
So I would ask our readers to try to keep their responses scientific.

Dear Khozem,
For specific answers to your questions I would direct you to contact either Andrew Pfiefer, or Nippon Dacro Shamrock Co. Ltd. NDS covers the India market.
