How to remove Polyurethane from metals

2007

I need to remove PU paint (2 components) from metal, then apply the new one. Could you please advise me how to do (by using any chemicals, solvent... I have no patient to remove this with a knife!

Much appreciated your comment/idea

Try soaking in or applying acetone on eBay or Amazon [affil link] Flammable! liberally. The coating should wrinkle and de-attach from the substrate.

Try PHENOL

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
