Ray,

The paper I presented at the PCE 2000 conference in Genoa-Italy march last deals with the improvement of logistic processes (i.e. conveying the parts)in paint shops. You should get this paper at Technology Publishing Company at Pittsburgh, PA. If not, please contact me and I would send it to you. Actually plants in which I-beams and structures (dim. up to 35 x 4 x 2 mtrs, weight up to 14 tons) are automatically transported, painted and dried, are state of the art here in Europe. Would be glad to give you more info, please contact

Ray, We did several jobs here in Europe in improving (automatic painting, conveying, less handling, drying systems, etc.)paint shops coating I-beams and other structural steel works.

Part sizes up to 35 x 3 x 2 mtrs, weights up to 12 tons. See for more info the febr. 1999 issue of PCE (Protective Coating Europe, supplied by Technology Publishing Comp. at Pittsburgh, PA) ore the paper I presented at the annual PCE conference held in Genoa-Italy in March last available from the same people. Best regards,

Good luck,
