Cat-a-Lac Paint

I am an Optical Engineer, we at Optical Physics are involved in a project and need to buy a reflective paint called Cat-a-Lac. I have been searching on the Internet for information on it, but had no luck finding any site or the name of the company that manufactures the paint.

If anyone has any suggestions or comments, please send them over.

I need technical information on Cat-a-Lac Paint. I know there are several types of black paints with that brand name. I am looking for the one that is the glossiest one, l operating wavelength between 3 and 14 microns, to be used in space. Any suggestions or comments are welcomed

At least one type of Cat-A-Lac paint, #463-3-8, is no longer made by Bostik. Apparently the rights have been sold to Dexter, who now makes it. It is a high-emissivity black paint, not the high-reflectivity stuff you are looking for, but maybe you can ask about related products. You can call Dexter, or their distributor, TC Specialities in Anaheim,. The only reflective paint I could find was from Axton Aerospace Inc., Greenville SC. You can speak to customer service department.

UPDATE--the former "CAT-A-LAC" black paints are now made by Akzo Nobel's Aerospace division. The "CAT-A-LAC" name has been dropped, and they are now identified only by their number, e.g. 463-3-8 for the flat black version.

Thanks, Tim, but looking at the tech data sheets, this Cat-A-Lac paint seems to be interior cabinet paint and not to have anything to do with the paint the rocket scientists are talking about.
