How to clean concrete off of galvanized siding

2007

I have a galvanized garage, I had concrete pads poured around the building.
The person that poured the concrete did not protect the siding and now I have splatter all over the garage.

Any idea on how to remove the dried concrete.

thank you, L Clark

Uh, I don't know if we're talking to L Clark or Mel Smith or if both are made-up names, but I don't think you'll have much success with a chemical product. Acid will remove concrete but it will also strip the galvanizing. A mechanical scraping may be the best thing to do.

Or, try a pressure washer. Although a pressure washer will have virtually no effect on properly cured concrete, it's not uncommon, especially if the weather was dry (maybe unlikely in Seattle) for the water to evaporate from the splatter before the concrete has properly cured, leaving a very weak concrete.

citric acid is very effective in removing concrete residue as it only 'eats' calcium and lime, both components of concrete, and is safe to adjacent substrate. We have a safe solution to this problem. Be glad to discuss this further. Good luck,
