-----Advantages/disadvantages of boric acid free zinc plating
We are a fastener manufacturer and have acid and alkaline zinc plating lines. We would like to know about the boric free acid zinc plating and also the advantages and disadvantages of said plating.

There are no disadvantages.
But all depends fully on the additive systems by the supplier.
I have seen the system working at high metal conc.; carrying high current with out burn and working at high pH with out trouble from dissolved iron.
Better ask the supplier to prove at your shop.And the go ahead.
