Can we hard chrome plate aluminum water tap parts?

We are small scale Industry manufacturing water taps. We want to switchover from brass to Aluminium to reduce cost. Is it possible to hard chrome plate on aluminium casting after buffing.

Yes it is possible to hard chrome plate aluminum. But that does not mean the components will be satisfactory for the application -- in fact I doubt they will be. Exactly what parts are they?
