Dents and scratches in alloy wheels

I have some alloy rims from the 1970's that have slight dents and deep scratches that have not polished out.

Is there some type of alloy filler or something else available that can fill these imperfections which will look like the alloy of the wheel once it has been sanded and polished, so that you can't tell its been repaired?

Argon welding is easily available and can fill deep dents and defects if that's what you want. It will require preheating of the wheels, tedious and difficult dressing of the weld beads and repolishing. A better process would be electro-spark deposition if you could find one. No preheating, very little build-up so very little dressing. Now, if the dents and scratches aren't so deep you can erase them with coarser abrasives, then polish.
