-----NICKEL STRIKE SPEC
I am required to note spec for part with nickel strike then black zinc. Is there a spec I could use that will not cause severe requirements, possibly delays or additional cost. I just specified by the words but the customer requires specs.
Thanks,

What is the substrate material, and what is the reason for the nickel strike, Ed? It really is your job to decide why you need the nickel strike, if you need it, and to pick a spec that will get you there. Of course, the plating shop is highly experienced and can help you if they understand the situation, but they will understandably be reluctant to get involved in product design because that is not their area of expertise. Good luck and let us know why the nickel strike.
