Regilding worn gold coloured bathroom fittings

I wish to have my bathroom fittings rejuvenated as the "gold" effect is worn and they look bad.

Is there any cheap way to have this done in Ireland or the UK ?

These fittings are probably gold electroplated rather than gilded, Tony. There may be a "brush electroplating service" in your area that can come out on location and do this. Expect to pay roughly what you'd pay a plumber for a couple of hours of his work, plus the extra for the extended travel distance, plus the cost of the gold applied.
