Electro chrome plating on meat grinder

Q. Greetings,

recently purchased a grinder with electro chrome plating. I wonder if it is safety. I know a little about Cr+6.

is it more harmful for the worker working with acid and environment than a final users?

Thanks,

Jeff

A. The chrome plating on the grinder will not harm you. As for the rest of your question ... ?

A. Only chromium compounds are toxic (especially hex chromates), chromium metal is safe. Hope it helps and good luck!
