-----Sealing of colour after anodising
2000
We are engaged in the manufacturing of heat sinks in Aluminium extrusions. We have to anodise them and sometime colour them black as per our customer requirement. For black anodising the process we follow is
- anodising
- Dyeing
- Colour fixing
- Sealing
Even after following this process we have a problem of colour bleeding in IPA(isopropyl alcohol ⇦ on eBay or Amazon [affil link] ).Please suggest foolproof method for sealing.

ANIL,
to overcome the problem of black dye bleeding out during sealing you should set up a two stage sealing process, the first containing a SEALING SALTS AS and the second containing ALBACLIN. Both these products are available from a company called CLARIANT. I have used both these products and have got very good results when when using black dyes.
