Acronyms:
GARDCO = Paul N. Gardner Co.

A. There are suppliers out there that sell equipment that is used to check quality and mechanical properties of coatings. Often these catalogs will contain typical ASTM standards that are used industry wide, if you could get ahold(order)of a catalog, you should be able to get some ideas on how to start your process. Gardco even includes some descriptions on how certain tests are performed.
