White rust on HDG sheet metal parts

We are a tier 1 automotive supplier. We constantly face white rust problem on stamped parts.We use lubes on most of the parts to ease the drawing operation. Sometimes it is hard to find if its a dried lubricant or white rust. Can white rust be cleaned and parts be used with out compromising the corrosion resistance of the sheet metal? Also what is the industry standard for spangle size(acceptable diameter) and what it actually is & why it appears on HDG steel? Please advise!
