-----Aluminum additions in zinc kettle
I am HOT DIP GALVANIZER of piece goods, Does additions of aluminium in zinc kettle reduces coating thickness on articles being galvanized? If yes how and what quantity is required.

Aluminium reduces the rate of zinc aluminium alloy layer formation and hence coating thickness is reduced. Due to low alloy layer thickness and relatively thick pure outer zinc layer surface brightness also improves.
Total Al content of zinc bath should not be more than 0.007%
galvanized pipes - Adipur, Gujrat
