-----Preparing aluminum siding
2006
We have aluminum siding on our house that is chipping due to hail. We would like to paint it soon. Do we need to take it down to bare metal or just take the chipping paint off with a putty knife and an abrasive pad? My plan is to make a solution of TSP

Thank you.
