Can copper/nickel replace the clear chromate?

The salespeople make a mistake when they order a product. it is supposed to be zinc plating with clear chromate. it turns out copper/nickel plating. I would like to know how is copper/nickel 's corrosion resistance capability compared with clear chromate. can copper nickel pass a 12 hours salt spray test? can anybody give me answer.

You wanted a Chevy and you got a Cadillac. There can be, of course, situations where zinc plating and clear chromate will be better than copper and nickel plating because the former offers sacrificial protection. But, in general, copper-nickel plating is a premium finish and should outlast the zinc both in a test chamber and in the real world.
