Corrosion resistance on a Mexican beach

Q. I wish to protect my premises (doors and windows) with wrought iron. My house is in southern Mexico on the beach, lots of salt and high humidity. What processes can I consider to bring anti-corrosive qualities to the wrought iron. Something simple would be nice. Can you recommend a simple electroplating process in somewhat primitive surroundings?

A. Hot dip galvanizing, and painting after.
If you cannot do so, use painting; however, you should do the maintenance each year.
