HYDROGEN EMBRITTLEMENT SPECIFICATION WSSB P17-B1

I NEED SOME INFORMATION PERTAINING TO THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE FORD SPECIFICATION FOR HYDROGEN EMBRITTLEMENT. I BELIEVE THE NUMBER IS WSSB P17-B1.

The Ford standard related to hydrogen embrittlement is Ford WSS-M99A3-A Embrittlement Avoidance (2005 revision level). This standard is referenced in a number of other Ford standards, usually for coatings that will be applied to heat treated steel parts. The designation that you provided was only a partial identification of a Ford standard. Perhaps the correct designation is Ford WSS-M21P17-B1, which is a standard for zinc plating + trivalent chromate + seal, and which references WSS-M99A3-A. You can obtain these standards from IHS (formerly Global Engineering Documents).
