-----Formicary corrosion in copper tubes for air conditioning systems
I write to know if there is any product (spray, lubricant...) able to prevent formicary corrosion (aka Ant Nest Corrosion) on outer surface of the copper tube for air conditioning systems.
We know that in automotive applications you can use sprays, lubricants or similar on steel or pig-iron components to prevent corrosion also in very aggressive environments.
From our experience we realized that formicary corrosion mainly starts at the interface area between the plumbing system and the external environment (easier access of corrosion agents - in contact with rain, fog, mud....).
Our mission is to collect information about any product or method to suggest to our customers and plumbers.
We would be very pleased to receive any useful information from your side.
