Plating a pewter product

Hi,

I am a hobbyist of a pewter casting for my own use. I'd like to know how the way to plating on pewter material. I've seen American Buckle that combined the color of Brass and original pewter color in a buckle. There's a bird & a man, the bird's has a brass color and the man has the original pewter color. How can they do that. Thank you before, I am really appreciate anyone who can help me. I am a pewter lover.
