In search of chemicals for steel etching

I am an art student in Illinois and am looking to etch a lot of steel. Thickness in the 10-14 gauge realm. I am in need of a retail distributor of a chemical that will aggressively etch this metal. I have done small amount and am aware of the safety measures involved. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Please offer any help. Thanks for your time.
