-----C on stainless steel
I work in the watch industry and I am constantly looking for new finishes. I came across a PVD/CVD on stainless steel that changes colour according to the viewing angles. All I'm told is that the target is carbon. The PVD process produces a mono-coloured (blue) surface. The CVD process, carbon target with hydrocarbon gas, produces a finish that changes colours according to viewing angles, e.g. from orange to green. Can someone tell me more about the process?
